My interest in interior design began while studying abroad in France. Visiting Parisian flats I  was inspired by the rich architectural details, the effortless blend of old and new, and creative use of limited space. After studying interior design in New York, I worked at a San Francisco-based interior design firm for years before returning to the East Coast and starting my own business in Charlottesville.

I believe a home should be inviting, comfortable, functional and personal. I enjoy creating layered spaces grounded in clean-lines and neutrals that are accentuated by texture, pattern and color. Nature, art and textiles are a great source of inspiration. I value quality materials and furnishings that will serve to enhance clients’ every-day living for years to come.

I begin by establishing an overall aesthetic direction in collaboration with the client, then move to planning the circulation and layout of each space, designing cabinetry and built-ins and specifying finishes, fixtures, furniture, and accessories. I provide order management, work with contractors during construction, oversee furniture installation and help style the finished space.

Outside of my design studio, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking for and hosting friends, traveling, yoga, tap dancing and exploring the natural beauty of central Virginia.
